Abstract

According to a transport format combination selecting method, firstly, a mobile station calculates, for each of a plurality of first TFCs, the transmission power of a first physical channel of a case of using the first TFC, and determines whether the mobile station can transmit. Then, the mobile station calculates, for each of combinations of the first TFCs and second corresponding respective TFCs, a sum of the transmission powers of the first and second physical channels of a case of using the first and second corresponding respective TFCs, and determines whether the mobile station can transmit. Next, the mobile station selects a first TFC from among the first TFCs for which the mobile station can transmit. Next, the mobile station selects a second TFC from among the second TFCs includedin the combinations including the selected first TFC for which the mobile station can transmit. Thereafter, the selected first and second TFCs are used to transmit data through the first and second physical channels, respectively.
